When you need rubber.
Most jobs are fine on PVC. But on sites with constant movement, dragging, crushing and impact, PVC cracks and fails. That's where H07RN-F earns its place. Here's how it sits against the cables it steps up from.

Indicative positioning. H07RN-F is rated 450/750 V — use it for portable, mobile and mechanically punishing duty rather than fixed sub-mains.

Sizes shown are the common stocked range. Current ratings are a guide only (≈30 °C ambient, in air), the same guide figure is shown across 2–5 core counts, and actual ratings vary with core count and installation method — always confirm against the datasheet. When the site is brutal
Out on site, cable gets dragged, run over, crushed, twisted and left in the weather. PVC isn't built for it — it cracks, splits and fails.
XTREM H07RN-F is engineered for exactly that. Thermosetting rubber insulation and a tough thermosetting rubber outer sheath give it outstanding resistance to abrasion, impact, tearing, oil, chemicals and UV — while staying flexible for repeated coiling, dragging and trailing duty. It handles full submersion (AD8) and a wide temperature range (−40 °C fixed, −25 °C mobile, to 90 °C), indoors or out.
The cable you stop replacing. Spec H07RN-F for portable tools, mobile plant, hoists, generators, temporary power and submersible bore pumps — it's even approved for drinking-water pumps to AS/NZS 4020 — and it outlasts every PVC alternative on punishing jobs.

Need a different cable?
H07RN-F is the heavy-duty choice. For other jobs, step across to its siblings in the Top Cable cable range.
The standard fixed-install version — 0.6/1 kV, 90 °C XLPE, Class 5 — for sub-mains, VSD feeders and cable trays that don't take heavy mechanical punishment. Lower cost than rubber.
The low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) version — XLPE-insulated and CPR-classified (B2ca / Cca) to stay low-smoke and non-toxic in a fire. For public buildings, data centres, hospitals, schools and transport.

Our PACs assist with cable selection, current and voltage sizing, compliance and installation advice — and cut H07RN-F to length off the drum before it ships. Technical support from local experts across QLD/NT, NSW/ACT and VIC/SA/TAS.
Top Cable XTREM H07RN-F
-
H07RN-F is the harmonised designation for a heavy-duty rubber flexible cable rated 450/750 V. It uses Class 5 flexible copper, thermosetting rubber insulation (type EI7) and a tough thermosetting rubber sheath (type EM2), making it the standard choice for portable, mobile and mechanically demanding applications. XTREM H07RN-F is manufactured by Top Cable.
-
Use H07RN-F wherever the cable is moved, dragged, coiled, run over or exposed to constant mechanical stress — construction, mobile plant, pumps, hoists, generators and events. PVC and RV-K are designed for fixed installation; H07RN-F is built for movement and abuse.
-
Yes — XTREM H07RN-F is approved for submersible pumps in drinking (potable) water to AS/NZS 4020, with AWQC certification, and is rated AD8 for full submersion. It's well suited to bores and deep wells.
-
Indoors and outdoors, on sites, in agriculture and industry, for portable and mobile equipment, and submerged in water (AD8). Its rubber construction handles weather, oil and UV. See the datasheet for temperature and submersion limits.
-
The thermosetting rubber sheath (type EM2) gives excellent resistance to abrasion, impact, tearing, crushing, oils, chemicals and UV — well beyond PVC. It stays flexible for repeated coiling and trailing without cracking.
-
Yes — it is certified flame retardant (non-propagation) to EN 60332-1 / IEC 60332-1, with CPR reaction-to-fire class Eca. For low-smoke zero-halogen performance in public or enclosed spaces, specify the TOXFREE N2XH flex (AS) range instead.
-
XTREM H07RN-F is manufactured to EN 50525-2-21 / IEC 60092-353 / IEC 60245-4 at 450/750 V (up to 1000 V in fixed protected assemblies) and carries HAR, AENOR, DNV, RoHS and CE approvals (CPR Eca). It is also approved for submersible pumps in drinking water to AS/NZS 4020.
-
Available in a wide range of cross-sections and core counts, supplied on 100 m or 500 m drums or cut to length. Talk to a PAC for the right configuration for your job.
